UPSC Prelims Syllabus 2026

The Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the Civil Services Exam, consisting of two objective-type papers.

Paper I – General Studies (200 Marks)

  • History of India and Indian National Movement
  • Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic
  • Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj
